The “Pagenhaus“ adjacent to the Herrenhausen Gardens and Palace was once the servant quarter for the court of the Hanoverian Electors.
Nowadays it is split into apartments for those who appreciate the close proximity to the baroque park, one of the most significant of its kind in Europe.
harryclarkinterior was commissioned to renovate one of these appartements within the grounds. The Pagenhaus is listed and no alterations where possible to the half timbered exterior. The more it was necessary to find a concept that underlines the character of the building as well as the requirements and needs of its inhabitants in the 21st century.
Therefore harry clark chose high quality materials for the redesign such as walnut block wood flooring. For the bathrooms he created a composition with Portuguese “Cinca” mosaics and Villeroy& Boch ceramic tiles. In the colour scheme he orientated himself to the baroque palette of Herrenhausen Palace, however not without adding a contemporary and elegant twist to it.
