PREMIUM Immobilien Unternehmensgruppe, as a property developer and project developer from Vienna, is creating a new building project “PURE” in Berlin in Mühlenstraße with around 200 apartments and 2 spacious penthouses with a view of the Spree (and each with over 300 sqm of terraces and balconies)
harryclarkinterior was commissioned to create a fancy interior design concept for one of the almost mirror-like apartments as part of an innovative marketing concept, taking into account a later execution.
A strong creative vision and an ability to bring ideas to life are hallmarks of the field of interior design, driven by curiosity and a passion for detail…for #ANewAestheticDimension
Following this guiding principle, the elaborated concept unfolds as an interpretation of the history and development of Berlin – decidedly as a counter-design to the prevailing reduced and thus interchangeable forms of expression of the real estate industry as well as with reminiscences of various style epochs of the 20th century – such as “Art déco” and “Expressionism”.
A wide variety of ideas, inspirations, elements and aspects combine to create an unmistakable and urban identity for the penthouse. In the representative-elegant ambience Berlin becomes associatively perceptible. High-quality and innovative materials, sought-after antiques, art and high-end carpentry come together to form a cosmopolitan mosaic.
“The lively life of the great city, … does after all have a wonderful effect on the mind.” This exclamation by E.T.A. Hoffmann resounds through Berlin two hundred years later and still captures the prevailing attitude to life. Compared to other European metropolises, Berlin does not have a homogeneous identity that can be clearly defined or described. Rather, opposites and contradictory reflections combine to form a lively dialogue. The city and its history are shaped by the most diverse and varied views and lifeworlds. An opportunity for individual free spaces, a laboratory for collective dynamics and for social developments.
“If it is at all possible to do so, I will stay here in Berlin.” E.T.A. Hoffmann 1798
